I'm Ali, a Dubai-born designer who also calls Vancouver home. Over the past five years, I’ve had the chance to work in both agency and in-house environments. At this point in my journey, I consider myself a Product Designer with a focus on creative direction and visual design.

In 2021, I joined Kaydence, a design agency based in Vancouver as Visual Designer and Developer. A little over a year later our team grew and I transitioned into a Senior role. Up until February 2024 we worked on numerous design and development projects for the web; crafted and delivered over 25 web experiences, 2 products and 1 spatial game.

From 2019-2020, I was Digital Designer and Cohort Co-ordinator at Solid State Community Industries based in Surrey, BC. There, I was responsible for creating the non-profit's brand identity and digital presence to further their mission of helping people from racialized backgrounds build their own enterprises, primarily but not exclusively in the form of worker co-operatives.
